# A white-label build for your Organization

White-label is one way a build for your organization is delivered. The build carries your name. Contact us, or sign in and open a set.

White-label is one shape of [a build for your organization](/enterprise).

The software you sign into already lets you type the Subject, save a Tool Chest tool on this desk, and choose who opens the Project. White-label is the build that carries your name. You run it. You do not own the software. On your servers, sync stays there. If we host the build, sync stays in the environment that is only yours.

## What a white-label build is

White label means that build carries your company name.

Your quantity names. A column or a step the software does not have yet. Labels your people already say. The people who open it see your name.

It is the same Forward Layout, isolated for you. It is not a second product. Estimating, construction technology, and IT agreeing on where it runs is [the build](/enterprise).

## What you already set yourself

You do not need a custom build to match a line in the estimate.

Type the Subject the way the workbook already says it. Guardrail and handrail stay separate when the estimate separates them. Markups List groups the totals under that name. Save the Subject on a Tool Chest tool on this desk, and the next Length, Count, or Area starts with the name filled in. Those tools stay on this desk. They do not sync to every desk in the company.

Share decides who can open the Project, and whether they can edit. Revoke access when the bid is over. The company account is the [Organization](/guides/organizations). [How work is organized](/guides).

If that covers the work, [sign in](/sign-in) and use it. [How the loop runs](/how-it-works).

## What we change on the build

Tell us what you need the software to do, and where it has to run.

**The export matches the workbook.** A column your template needs is on the CSV, in the name the workbook already uses. The page stays on the row.

**The missing step is on the desk.** The command your estimators already expect is in the build.

**Your company name is on the build.** The people who open it see your name.

You still measure on the page. When a sheet has no scale, you set the page scale. Length, Polylength, Count, and Area stay the tools. [Takeoff is quantities. Price stays in the workbook](/resources/takeoff-vs-estimating). Where the files live is the same conversation: [a build for your organization](/enterprise).

## Limits

You run the build. You do not own the software. How updates ship is answered when you contact us.

You keep the template. We fit the name, the column, or the step that is missing. You do not rebuild the estimate around a fixed list.

On your network, the software and the data run on your servers. If we host the build, that environment is only yours. [Security](/security) is the list a review usually asks about.

## FAQ

### Can our company have its own build?

Yes. White-label is one shape of [a build for your organization](/enterprise). The build carries your name. On your servers, sync stays there. If we host it, sync stays in the environment that is only yours. Email contact@forwardlayout.com and say what you need the software to do, and where it has to run.

### Is a white-label build the same as typing our own Subject?

No. Subject, a Tool Chest tool on this desk, and who can open the Project are already in the software you sign into. White-label is the build that carries your name, and the change we make when a step is missing.

### Do we own that software?

No. You run the build. How updates ship is something we answer when you write.

### Can the drawings stay on our servers?

On that build, yes. You open plans on your computers. On your network, sync stays on your servers. The account you sign into today syncs with Forward Layout. That is not your server.

### Can we use the software before we ask for a build?

Yes. [Sign in](/sign-in) and open a set. That account syncs with Forward Layout. Email contact@forwardlayout.com when you need the build.
